Dawn Postnikoff, Our Newest Member!
We are very pleased to introduce DAWN POSTNIKOFF, our newest member of the Rotary Club of Comox
Dawn spent 10 years in Medicine Hat owning and operating the Golf course there, and 15 years prior to that as an IT Manager / Business Consultant in Calgary.
Les, Dawn’s husband joined Rotary after they moved to the Comox Valley, and they look after their Alberta business remotely (golf course / restaurant), and have a new online startup business focused on Culinary Tourism and promoting local food products.
Most of her volunteer experience has been related to business and family. She was a mentor at the Medicine Hat College Entrepreneurial program for several years and involved with the Women in Business group as well as the Destination Marketing Organization in Medicine Hat. She also served on various School Councils and Minor Sports committees when their children were younger.
Her husband, Les is an Executive Advisor with TEC Canada, a golf professional, and co-owner of their Golf Course. She has 5 children in total (a 25 year old daughter, 17 year old twin boys, and 2 step-daughters aged 24 & 26). No Grandchildren as of yet.
Dawn does not have any past Rotary involvement. Over the past 10 years or so she has been so busy running hers and Les’ golf course and raising their kids that she simply has not had time to get involved before now.
Her primary interests and contributions in Rotary would most likely be around Business, Event Planning, and International projects once the boys are off to University. In terms of committees, maybe Public Image and Vocational, as well as helping with some of the fundraising events.
Welcome to your Rotary Club of Comox Dawn!
