This project was first funded by the Rick Hansen Foundation, and then to bring it to fruition, CVCDA reached out to us and the Comox Valley Rotary Club who, with the help of two District Grants, were able to provide the additional funds for the ramps. They were designed by an architect – Pippa Atwood, who is a member of the Strathcona Sunrise Courtenay Rotary Club. Both clubs had members helping to build the Ramps but most of the work was done by contractors.
