Grand Tasting, 8 pm to 10 pm
Sample an impressive array of whiskeys from around the world, enjoy gourmet appetizers, and refresh your palate with local craft beer. Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or a curious enthusiast, this event promises an unforgettable evening of flavour and discovery.
Masterclasses, 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm
Before the Grand Tasting, attendees can elevate their experience by joining a Masterclass. Dive into the fascinating history of single malt, learn about the intricate process of malting, mashing, fermentation, and distillation. Masterclass participants enjoy early entry to the Grand Tasting at 7:45 pm.

Founded in 2011, Shelter Point Distillery has been committed to distilling high quality single malt whisky from the outset. Located on the Eastern shore of Vancouver Island, sourcing water from its own aquifer and surrounded by the farm that supplies much of the barley for its distillations it is well placed to do so. Brand Experience Manager Chris Read will talk you through the history of the distillery and the process for making its whiskies. This masterclass will feature a chance to try some Shelter Point special releases as well as a selection of the distillery’s core offerings.

Stillhead Distillery founder and Master Distiller Brennan Colebank will take you on a tasting experience showcasing the potential of 100% Rye Whisky. From Sherry to Garry oak casks, you’ll taste some unique to the world expressions of 100% Rye Whisky. Here’s the lineup: Bartender’s Rye, Sherry Cask Rye, Garry Oak Rye 2026 50%, Garry Oak Cask Strength 2026, Islay Cask Rye, and Cask Sample (Tokaji Cask).

The Macaloney Distillers “World’s Best” & gold medal Grand Tasting
Scottish Master Whiskymaker Dr. Graeme Macaloney, the 2025 Canadian Whisky Awards ‘Whisky Blender of the Year’, is an accomplished Master Whiskymaker. His drams have won 17 golds at the global industry’s most competitive World Whiskies Awards. As such, he is the ideal ambassador to present his gold medal and ‘World’s Best’ whisky creations, explaining what makes them so special.
For your exploration, he’ll be sharing insights on six of his whiskies plus the ‘World’s Best’ new-make spirit underpinning them. These include our gold medal ‘Na Braiche’ Portuguese red wine matured expression, the ‘World’s Best’ triple distilled pot still whisky, our ‘Easy Breezy’ Moscatel sweet white wine inspired single malt, our gold medal ‘Cath-nah-aven’ Sherry bomb, a gold medal lightly peated ‘Siol Dugall’ virgin wood inspired dram, and our recently released Peat Project Harvest Coast, a big Sherry-forward peated dram.
