Money raised through our club is used to fund meaningful local projects, including feeding local students, supporting the homeless, funding SAR efforts and more. Ducky 500 Canada Day Race

2026 marks the 39th anniversary of the Comox Rotary Ducky 500!

Each Canada Day, 4,000 rubber ducks race down the Puntledge River in a light-hearted spectacle that draws over 15,000 attendees — making it one of the most visible community moments of the year in the Comox Valley.

We start coordinating yearly sponsorship in February, and we’re actively accepting interest and sponsors right now! We have four standard sponsorship levels, Silver, Gold, Platinum & Diamond, as well as the opportunity to sponsor prizes, offer media coverage, contribute to the hospitality tent, or other creative sponsorship options.

New This Year: Sponsor After Party For the first time, we’re hosting a sponsor appreciation celebration at Match Eatery following the race — a chance to relax, connect with fellow sponsors and Rotary members, and enjoy Canada Day together. Every sponsorship level includes after party invites, and we’re looking forward to celebrating with you.

More importantly, every dollar raised supports vital local organizations across the Comox Valley — including search and rescue, hospice care, youth programs, wildlife rescue, homelessness support, and more.

Auction & Gala

Each year we host a late fall gala dinner, complete with online and live auctions. The gala is an elegant evening of fun, fabulous food, and generous fundraising.

Whisky Festival

2027 will be our 15th Annual Whiskey Festival. Each year we host a delightful variety of Ambassadors offering spirits from around the world to our local distilleries, Shelter Point & Wayward. This signature event has both Masterclasses and a Grand Tasting.
